RVA Yorktown Locals #1 - Welcome to Opus 17

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new series where we will be featuring matches from our local shop in Yorktown, VA.
Here you’ll find many Returners who you’ll certainly get to know more about as we feature some (hopefully) game defying jank, in a set where there is absolutely no meta thus far.
HUGE shoutout to FFTCG’s very own Nick Schnell and the boys at Wither Away for allowing me to feature their music in our videos this week.
I can genuinely say it was pure bliss editing every video, and I constantly found myself just vibing to the tunes as opposed to actually editing any content.

Round One: Ben vs Riley, Battle of the Brothers

You’ll see some VERY familiar decks here as Ben is rocking his own Soiree troupe and Riley commits to a comfortable Avalanche list.

Round Two: Danny vs Josh, Serah Moogles vs WiWa Crystal Mommy

In round two we have Serah Moogles vs Crystals, where we see Josh attempt to utilize the new Opus 17 Serah, and Danny try a Wind/Water spin on an FFBE Crystal list.

Round Three! We have Water/Earth FFBE vs The Man in Black Shenanigans, here Tanis rebels against the Crystal Mommy name, and Vince hopes to pocket Baby Raiden for the W.

In round four we have *checks notes* the same decks as round three! Just kidding, Gavin went for an all-color crystal deck, being unable to decide which FFBE characters he thought were coolest (me too, Gavin, me too). What’s Vince’s strategy you may ask? The same as last round of course!
